DEPRESSION
I have been a daughter,
And been a mother,
Been a wife,
and been a lover,
But inside who do i see,
When the labels go,
and all that is left is me,
I'm not always good,
But far from bad,
I try to be happy,
I hate feeling sad,
I fake my smile,
Hide all this pain,
Be there for others,
Time and again,
But every day is a struggle,
A war with the past,
Fighting with evil,
and left with the scars,
Left with this nightmare,
A new label "depression"
Caused by years of abuse,
And years of oppression,
Inside is a woman,
that longs to feel love,
Not someone that people,
Can easily dispose of,
I lost my identity,
My sense of belonging,
But this will never stop me,
From wishing or longing,
That maybe one day,
Things will start going right,
And the stormy clouds,
Be replaced by the sunlight,
And I can look inside my soul,
And finally see,
The true lady that hides,
Inside of me
