SONG FOR THE Brokenhearted
Sat here watching the sun go down,
Guitar in my hand wishing you was around,
Since you've been gone,
It just ain't the same,
Ain't life now a crying shame,
You took my heart, threw it away,
When you packed your bags
And left me one day,
Didn't have the guts to say goodbye,
Just left me hanging high and dry.
You promised me the sun,
Promised me the moon,
How can happiness end so soon?
Don't know what I am meant to do,
Trying my best to get over you,
It doesn't seem to matter
How hard i try,
I can't stop these tears I cry,
But if you come running back someday,
These will be the words,
That I will say,
Get out of my house,
Away from my door,
I sure don't need you anymore!
The tears have dried,
And my pain has is healed,
Now my life is an open field,
The sun, the moon and the stars still shine,
And I feel free cause your not mine.
